The troll fiddled with something around her neck and her wings (so they weren't your imagination, that explains how you got up here) collapsed.
"I alreadyy told yyou, I'm Kyyanas. YYou know, greenblood with a nutbeast lusus who trains with a staff and has a complex for beating people at their own games. I just wanted to help yyou, reallyy. YYou called for help to me a long time ago, weeks, and I was just then near yyour phyysical location to help... so I came to help yyou. And I flew yyou up here."
You blinked a bit to process this. She claimed to be Kyanas, and she did have an odd emphasis on her y's like Kyanas typed. But what she was saying she did was... "Time travel? How?"
You pushed yourself up, groaning as your skin left the cool of the grass and as all your aches and pains returned. All things considered, this was probably Kyanas. She was just suggesting something completely impossible. But hey, it's not like you hadn't already accepted impossible things today. If a game could move your hive into another world, and Isaard can zap imps with lightning, then time travel might not be that big of a deal. You rubbed your temples. This was just one more thing to add to your headache. You hoped that this Kyanas had some medicine stuff with her. Or she knew how to un-dislocate (relocate?) a shoulder. That would be super great.

You quirked your eyebrow at her confused "Time travel? How?" and held in a chuckle. When you came from, it was even beyond an accepted fact and had become an expected fact.
As she lifted herself from the grass, you noted that her arm was most definitely dislocated at the shoulder, but given her previous reluctance to let you near you were not going to just take it upon yourself to fix that. Instead, you sat back on your calves. Such a position was restful and meditative to you.
A thought later, you were searching around your modus for the pain relief potion, which Stebia looked sorely in need of. A second passed as the battle was won, and a small vial filled with faintly pink syrup was in your hand, which you were satisfied to note was labeled "For Relieving Pain." It would have been embarrassing if it was the vial labeled "For Pain."
You supposed you ought to answer her question.
"YYes, time travel. I can travel through time, and it's more complicated than it would look at first glance." You looked down at the tiny flask. "I have a bit of medicine for yyou, it should dull whatever pain yyou feel. And I can fix yyour arm."

"YYes, time travel. I can travel through time, and it's more complicated than it would look at first glance."
Oh. That would explain her talk of 'weeks' and how she could be here even when the Kyanas you just talked to said she couldn't. It's the easiest explanation to accept, and makes a bit more sense than a shapeshifting monster.
She held a small flask in her hand. "I have a bit of medicine for yyou, it should dull whatever pain yyou feel. And I can fix yyour arm."
Well. That would certainly be good. You scooted closer to her and held out your arm. "Go for it!"
You suddenly realized that you had been horrendously rude to her. "Oh, I'm sorry for being all aggressive! I just didn't re(--ognize you, sin(--e I hadn't met you before, and I was a little bit out of it. Did I hurt you?"

"Go for it!" She held her arm out to you, but you rather though you thought she should take the anesthetic before you attempted to re-set her arm. "Er, do yyou want the narcotic?" You extended your arm in her general direction and waited for her to take it, before you did anything else.
"Oh, I'm sorry for being all aggressive! I just didn't re(--ognize you, sin(--e I hadn't met you before, and I was a little bit out of it. Did I hurt you?" She continued, almost up to her usually chattering speed. You were quite glad she was done with distrusting you, for it would have been difficult to help her is she was mistrustful. You shook your head and said "No, yyou were too weak to cause much damage." You smiled at her, and chuckled a little because ordinarily any blow from her would be very difficult to counteract.

"Er, do yyou want the narcotic?" You nodded, and took the vial labeled FOR RELIEVING PAIN from her. "Am I supposed to drink this?" Assuming her response was a yes, you uncapped and downed it. Hey, it couldn't hurt worse than your arm right now. It started to take effect, and the pain began to be reduced to a vague prickling ache.
She replied to your other question, and you were glad that you hadn't caused any damage. It was a good thing that you hadn't been at full strength when you attacked her. Otherwise, your first meeting with her could have been very bad! You grinned back at her. You guessed that she had already met you, which made you wonder. "When are you from? And how did you even get to now?"

As soon as she drank the medication, you took back the empty vial and stowed it in your sylladex.
"When are you from? And how did you even get to now?" she asked, seemingly prepared to have her shoulder fixed. You were rather surprised that she could move it at all, given that it was very clearly dislocated. She really ought to be in intense pain, but it was possible this was not the first time she had dislocated that shoulder, or that she was still under a little bit of shock from her accident.
"Like I said, weeks from now. When exactlyy is irrelevant." You stood up, beckoning her to do the same. So she wouldn't strain her arm further, you helped her up. When she stood across from you, her arms flat on her sides, you brought the lower arm to a right angle with the upper. You pushed it against her chest, as if she was going to cross arms. "And I used myy lantern, which is myy traveling tool."
"I hope yyou are aware that this is going to hurt a good deal, even though I gave yyou a narcotic in advance." You looked at her in the eyes, all seriousness. "I'll begin." You rotated her arm steadily outward, keeping her from moving her elbow away from her side. There wasn't an audible pop, but her shoulder moved in an unnatural way when the joint locked back into place.

You followed Kyanas' directions to stand up and move your arms. It was a little weird to have your shoulder relocated by someone other than your lusus, she had always done it before. You blinked at her explanation of her time travel, and decided not to ask any further questions. You had a feeling that it wouldn't make sense even if she did explain it.
"I hope yyou are aware that this is going to hurt a good deal, even though I gave yyou a narcotic in advance." You nodded and smiled. Of course it was going to hurt, but it couldn't hurt more than it had. She rotated your arm and you felt a pop in your shoulder. You grimaced, closing your good eye in pain. "Owww!"
You didn't much want to try moving your arm after that, but after a bit you found that it wasn't dead weight anymore. You experimentally opened and closed your fingers and swung your arm a little. Ow. Okay, it still hurt, but it wasn't agonizing like before. That was good. You exhaled in relief and looked back at Kyanas.
"Wow, thanks! That worked great." You grinned at her. "Thank goodness you showed up when you did, otherwise I (--ould have been in real trouble!" You swung your arm a little more, and tried stretching. The pain was slowly getting better and better. "So, what's up from the future?"

"Thank goodness you showed up when you did, otherwise I (--ould have been in real trouble!" You smiled at that, grateful to have helped. Though, on second thought, you saved everyone's butt with surprising regularity. You weren't sure if this reflected well on your skills, or badly on theirs, or both. Hmm.
"So, what's up from the future?" Wincing a bit, you immediately replied with "Nothing yyou won't see for yyourself." Telling people about the future usually didn't turn out well and it was tiring anyway. Too much work for you.
You sat down again, grimacing at the way your clothing was getting soaked with the sweet-smelling dew omnipresent in this land. And it was making you notice the dust all over your shoes and pantlegs, which flared alarmingly when it contacted the dampness, as if it was too excited to finally come in contact with something that was clean and pure. It hadn't been visible before, with your kneeling posture.

"Nothing yyou won't see for yyourself."
You supposed that made sense. It wouldn't be good for her to change stuff by telling you things you weren't supposed to know, you guessed. You watched as she sat down and some dust on her pants suddenly sparkled.
"Whoa! What's in that?" You crouched down to examine the dust. It might be some chemical reaction in the minerals of the dust. It didn't seem to be dust from your land, either. Yours wasn't so grayish, and certainly didn't sparkle. Hmm. It could be all number of compounds. Maybe mica? No, that would be sparkling anyway, and this seemed to be more a reaction to the dew, so maybe-
You realized that you were being weirdly close to Kyanas' pants and toppled backwards. "Whoops, sorry. Just got ex(--ited about minerals for a se(--ond there! My bad."

"Whoops, sorry. Just got ex(--ited about minerals for a se(--ond there! My bad."
You laughed and rubbed at the hem of your pants, getting a little bit of dust on your fingers to bring to bring up to be examined. It should have been obvious that Stebia would be excited by rockdust. It didn't even occur to you to notice the flares of dust on your skin or clothes now, especially because it seemed to be partially ingrained into your skin.
"Don't worryy! YYou'll love myy land. Er, I know that for sure yyou will be interested in it, anyywayy." That was certainly true, but you didn't want to accidentally reveal too much information. That could end quite horribly.
"So what were yyou doing in that room down there?" You asked, quite curious about what you could get her to say about her first impression of the murals.

"So what were yyou doing in that room down there?"
You scrunched up your forehead. "Uh. I was looking for a way out when you found me. I had been dropped in this tunnel by my gate, so I was walking down it, and I was trying to avoid a lot of ogres and they (--hased me down this hallway and there was a dead end so I had to bust through a wall and I ended up in this (--avern! So there were all these lamps that weren't lit up but I tou(--hed one and it sort of glowed so I tou(--hed it while thinking about my friends and I guess they run on happy thoughts be(--ause that made them all glow, and that lit up all these mosai(--s on the walls! Then I walked around the walls and the mosai(--s started with all these hopbeasts hopping around and being cute and I think they were talking, oh yeah there are a bun(--h of hopbeasts on my land, and there was sometimes this thing in the (--orner of the mosai(-- with bright robes and wings but then I got to the hole I'd made in the wall whi(--h I guess I was not supposed to do, and then the thing was gone and all the hopbeasts weren't talking and they dug some holes and then there was another (--hipped bit and they were ba(--k at the surfa(--e again and that was the end. And then I looked up and there was an opening at the top of the (--hamber and I tried to jump all the way up there but it was too high and I was falling so I sort of rappelled down but I got hurt and then I tried to pester everyone but they were busy ex(--ept for you, but I guess you right now instead of future you who you are, man time travel is (--onfusing! And then you found me and I was a jerk and I am sorry about that." You paused, realizing that Kyanas probably needed a second to take all that in. Or maybe she already knew that? Time travel is weird!
"So that is pretty mu(--h it." You realized something. "Hey, sin(--e you're from the future, do you know what those mosai(--s mean?"

"So er..." You tried to parse through what Stebia had just told you, and were finding it a bit hard to get through to the meat of the discussion through her massive assault of chipper words. Maybe the last thing you had heard? "YYou don't have to apologize, I show up at weird times and places and tryy to give help." Oh, and she had been talking about the murals before that. Did she mention the little denizen in the corner?
"What did yyou sayy about the winged thing in the corner? That sounded important. And is it possible to repair the broken pieces of the mural?" Sometimes you really just had to suck it up and forget everything you knew about the future for the sake of the moment. It was only a little aggravating. You also decided to ignore her little comment about your knowledge of the future for the moment, in the hope that she could figure some of it out on her own.

"What did yyou sayy about the winged thing in the corner? That sounded important. And is it possible to repair the broken pieces of the mural?"
You frowned. "Well, the winged thing looked important, and when it wasn't there the hopbeasts (--ouldn't talk. Soooo..... maybe the same thing made it leave that took their voi(--es away? Or maybe they just (--ouldn't talk without it?" You thought for a bit, then shrugged. "I have no idea!" You supposed that Kyanas didn't either, not even in the future. "Maybe that's what I'm supposed to do here? To figure out why the winged thing left, and how to get the hopbeasts' voi(--es ba(--k?"
You shook your head at the second question. "Nope, not unless someone was really really good at putting tiny smashed bits of ro(--k ba(--k together. I know when something is damaged beyond repair! I mean, I've broken a lot of stuff, so I kind of know when you (--an't fix things. But hey, maybe if you have some future thing you (--an put it ba(--k together, I don't know." You shrugged again. "Maybe I'm not supposed to! Maybe I have to figure it out myself. Do you know?"

"If I did know what the winged thing is, I wouldn't tell yyou, because this is yyour quest and yyou have to figure it out mostlyy for yyourself." You smiled at her encouragingly, hoping that she would not be too discouraged by her lack of proper knowledge. "And I can assure yyou that in the future we have more superglue, but not anyy special rock-fixing tools, so yyou will have to use a bit of thought to figure it out."
In the meantime, you knew Stebia should probably explore her land more fully and try to find her gate, and possibly try to find more complete murals. It might be that more warrens surrounded the planet, and that those had unbroken sections. You were still doing very well at not remembering the future.
"Perhaps yyou could explore the outside of yyour land and look for alternate entrances." You knew, and she likely knew, that almost all of the important feautres of her planet were underground. It simply made sense. "YYou need to find another gate, like the one yyou took to get here, and end up in Kratus's land. I think he needs some help as it is."

"YYou need to find another gate, like the one yyou took to get here, and end up in Kratus's land. I think he needs some help as it is."
You laughed at that. "Haha yeah, probably! He sure does spa(--e out a lot." Come to think of it, you haven't talked to him for a while! Not since you asked him for the designix thingie. You hope he's okay. Maybe you'll pester him later.
What was the other thing she said? Oh right, gates. There were those gates above your hive. You might be able to get back to there through the gate you went through. The only trouble is, you don't know if that gate goes both ways. Now that you think about it, it wouldn't make sense if it did. Plus you would have to go back through all those ogres to get to it. That might end badly for you, even though you feel a lot less banged-up now. Kyanas could probably get there pretty quickly on those fancy wings, but it would be rude to ask her to carry you all that way. Looks like you're going to have to walk!
You look at Kyanas. "Well, the only gates I've seen were over my hive, so I guess I should go through those?" You poked at your helmet, trying to get the map function to show you a route, but remained stubbornly unhelpful. "Do you have a map that I (--an follow ba(--k home or something? I've got a map fun(--tion on my helmet thing but I think it only shows pla(--es I've been."
You weren't particularly looking forward to however long of a trek it would be back to your hive, but it wasn't like you had a lot of options. Plus, you might find more cool stuff on the way! This sure was a cool adventure.
